Purple Day is held each year on March 26th and is celebrated internationally in an effort to raise awareness for epilepsy. This year, due to the COVID-19 situation, EpLink postponed our planned event at Union Station. Instead, we participated virtually by posting to social media as part of the #1in100 campaign, which aimed to highlight the range of experiences of people living with epilepsy. EpLink also donated 5,000 purple brain cookies to the Toronto Western Hospital, as a ‘thank you’ to all the healthcare workers and hospital staff. EpLink hopes to reschedule our Purple Day event and will provide more information as it becomes available.
