Katie’s Run and EpLink Partnership Announcement

On Saturday, June 24, 2017, the sixth annual Katie’s Run will take place in the beautiful highlands of Haliburton, Ontario. The event offers a scenic 5 km run, 10 km run and 2.5 km run/walk all in support of research dedicated to finding a cure for epilepsy.

Katie's Run was started in honour of Katie Woudstra, who had a sudden onset of seizures at the young age of 14. Her family and friends came together to organize an annual run to fund research and connect with other families going through similar experiences. Over the past 6 years, Katie’s Run has become the largest private fundraiser in Canada for epilepsy research. Every year, people from across Ontario – all connected by the same drive to cure epilepsy - look forward to participating in Katie’s Run.

This year, we are excited to announce that Katie’s Run will generously donate all of the proceeds from the run to EpLink – The Epilepsy Research Program of the Ontario Brain Institute. This partnership will directly benefit the cutting-edge research done within EpLink aimed at finding a cure for epilepsy.

We encourage you to learn more about Katie’s Run and register for the event at www.katiesrun.ca. We look forward to seeing you there!
